Chemotherapy treatment can often make your mouth very sore. It is recommended that you see the dentist a few weeks before you start your treatment. This is to ensure that your teeth and gums are as healthily as possible before chemotherapy begins.
Any dental work required during your treatment will need to be discussed with your cancer specialist as the timing of any dental work needs to be planned very carefully. It is also a good idea to see the dentist once you’ve finished your treatment.
